Prague Tigers vs. Lions match #2

Prague Tigers vs. Lions Match at Slavia stadium, Sept 28, 2008:

For the second time these two Prague teams have met for another exciting encounter at the "G" ... Slavia G that is.
The Sun came out in timely fashion and the game heated up intensely in the first quarter that saw the Prague Tigers come back from behind to lead by 1 solitary point at the first break. 5.2 vs 5.3.

The 2nd quarter saw the Prague Tigers stretch their lead to over 4 goals. Mike starred in the ruck, with Mark roving beautifully in his first game for the Prague Tigers and kicking 4.3.

It was going to be interesting what was to come after the halftime break, as the Lions were hungry to fight back, but the Prague Tigers kicked a bag of goals shared by multiple players and showing great team work, with JD & Nick both kicking 7 goals each for the game, 7.4 & 7.1 respectively).

Nick impressed with his raking kicks, while JD was doing a Richo playing half the game in centre and half full-forward. Paul kicked 3 goals before going off with a leg injury and starred up forward and centre. The Lions captain Ash once again was playing the game of his life tackling hard (and shouting loud) :) while Brent starred with his fierce tackling.
The Lions missed their star ruckman Greg, but this was made up in part by the gutsy efforts of its younger players and fierce tackling. However Prague Tigers' Gatesy tackled hard and kicked 3.2 to boot in a great performance.

The Lions never gave up, but the final siren saw the mighty Prague Tigers convincing winners over the Lions for the second time, final scores 25.16.166 v. 11.5.71.

Leading goal kickers:
Tigers: JD 7.4, Nick 7.1, Mark 4.3, Paul 3.4, Gatesy 3.2
Lions: ??

Injuries:
Tigers: Paul - hamstring
Lions: broken hearts :)

Crowd: a crowd of over 30 "jammed" the stands
Photos of the match coming soon ...

Prague Tiger guernseys from RFC ?

Prague Tigers are eagerly awaiting support from the real Tigers (RFC) in Australia.
Prague Tigers President JD is in touch with Greg Miller & RFC management re. obtaining used RFC guernseys and gear for the Prague Tigers.

Prague Tigers would look far more professional in official guernseys if we are to play in the World Cup in 2008. T-shirts just dont do it for the team.

Waiting on a response...
